Error Codes Explained

Error codes on e-bikes may appear briefly on the display. If an issue arises, check the display safely for a code. If the details below don’t resolve it, contact customer support for assistance.


Addmotor EB 2.0 Operating System

Error Code Source of Error Troubleshooting
101 Brake Lever Abnormality Verify whether the brake lever is functioning properly.
102 & 103 Throttle Abnormality Verify whether the throttle is functioning properly.
23 Controller Overheat Stop using the bike to allow the controller to rest and lower its temperature.
24, 34, 35, 36 Motor Abnormality Verify whether the motor is functioning properly and the motor connection is solid.
25, 26 Controller Abnormality Verify whether the battery is functioning properly, have a battery output voltage test.
30 Communication Abnormality Verify the integrity and stability of the wiring and controller connections. Reach out to customer support.
38 Light Short Circuit Check whether the light copper wire is exposed.
65 Parking Brake System Ensure the parking brake is disengaged before activating the display.

Error Code Source of Error Troubleshooting
04 The throttle is not in its correct position Verify if the throttle can be adjusted back to its correct position. If the issue persists, consider replacing it with a new throttle (only applicable if this function is available).
05 The throttle is faulty 1. Verify whether the throttle connectors are correctly connected. Check if the throttle connection is secure and intact.
2. Disconnect the throttle, If the issue persists, reach out to customer support. (only applicable if this function is available).
07 Overvoltage protection
1. Remove the battery.
2. Re-Insert the battery.
3. If the problem persists,reach out to customer support.
08 Malfunction in the motor hall sensor signal Reach out to customer support.
09 Malfunction in the engine phase’s
Reach out to customer support.
10 The engine has reached its maximum temperature protection threshold 1. Power down the system and let the Pedelec cool off.
2. If the problem persists, reach out to customer support.
11 Malfunction in the temperature sensor within the motor Reach out to customer support.
12 Malfunction in the current sensor within the controller Reach out to customer support.
13 Malfunction in the temperature sensor within the battery Reach out to customer support.
14 Controller Overheat 1. Stop using the pedelec to allow the controller to rest and lower its temperature.
2. If the problem persists, reach out to customer support.
15 Controller sensor overheat Reach out to customer support.
21 Malfunction Speed sensor
1. Restart the system
2. Check that the magnet attached to the spoke is aligned with the speed sensor and that the distance is between 10 mm and 20 mm.
3. Check that the speed sensor connector is connected correctly.
4. If the error persists, reach out to customer support.
25/26 Malfunction Torque signal
1. Verify the integrity and stability of the sensor connection.
2. If the error persists, reach out to customer support.
27 Controller Over-current Reach out to customer support.
30 Communication Abnormality 1. Verify the integrity and stability of all connectors.
2. If the error persists, reach out to customer support.
